Hi everyone. Does anyone know where a person can go online (or wherever) to buy replacement 1:25 distributors that come come with plastic model kits? I'm not looking for pre-drilled ones or tutorials on how to make my own, but the actual distributors that come with the kits. I'm looking for a dozen or two, mostly for 8-cylinder engines, and even a few for 4-cylinder and 6-cylinder engines. Thanks.

I realize that you are not looking for "pre-drilled" distributors, but that may be the choice......  If you take a moment to look at RON COON RESINS, in the engine section, you will find some really decent distributors, with or without vacuum advance, 3d printed, and only $1.50 a pair.  Hope that helps

There are sellers on eBay parting out model kits, but I don't think I've seen them to go as granular as selling individual parts of an engine (like a distributor). If you want the actual parts, I think your best bet would be to go to model show or swap meets where there are dealers who sell old built models for parts.  Often, in their parts bins they have engines floating around.

You could also post that you are looking for kit's distributors in the Trading Post or Wanted sections.

I believe that Norm at RMCoM (Replicas and Miniatures Company of Maryland) had a selection of resin cast distributors based on actual kit parts. Those are high quality resin casting.

Yes, those are really nicely detailed parts. I may go that route after all; thank you very much for sharing!

I had a problem with having to open the holes on the Ron Coon pieces. I lost a few even being careful.

Jayes Model Car Garage has some that take a wire very easily.
