:rolleyes:;)

Back in the early 50's, auto manufacturers used all kinds of colors inside and out.''Member back in the 60' when the dash was black no matter what color the interior was?

The carpet will most likely be black, along with the tan interior and gray dash.

Some of the high-end 20's and 30's cars did the same thing.

(I may change it to tan if I get enough comments about not liking ther gray :) ).

Glad you like the door panels Harry :lol::lol: .

Gray!? Maybe burgundy ala '40 Fords, but GRAY,? Can't say it'll grow on me, but then,,,,,

My guess is it's a real pain to take all the chrome parts off. :lol:

Another stunner. I also think the dash will look better in tan. I didn't know that the dashes were different colors than the rest of the interior. That might be good information for a bar bet B)

Gues I'll pull out the dash tomorrow, disassemble it, and do some prep and paint-THANKS GUYS :rolleyes:

Paint the dash either body color or to match the rest of the interior. But gray? Where did that come from??? :rolleyes:

(maybe the top of the dash in body color, the rest to match the interior color)... :P

I've had this liquid mask for a while, called MICRO MASK by MICROSCALE, but have never used it, but this dash presented some 'Challanges for painting", so after I removed a few pieces, I could see there would be problems.

So I decided to give this stuff a try, and it worked great.

I brushed on 3 coats to make sure there was good coverage, and let it dry for a half hour or so, sprayed 3 light coats of the tan, let it dry again for about a half hour, and then pealed off the liquid mask like a latex glove, or a cond*m <img src="http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":o" border="0" alt="dry.gif" /> - DEPENDS ON HOW YOU LIKE TO PLAY DOCTOR <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":lol:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":lol:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> .

Anyhow, I'm happy with the results, and thanks guy's for the imput about the dash color <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="B)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" /> .

Here's a few pics of the results.

Very slick! I really like the color combination you choose......hint, hint, (I did my real life MGB in that combo). The wheels look perfect on this one...glad to see that there is truly life after 24 inch rims. Fat white walls make it with those wheels....very impressive mix of mild customization and old school touches.....I guess that is why you are you and the rest of us are happy just to look on.

:lol::rolleyes:

There certainly is Peter, and I learned it here B) .

I still like the "WAGON WHEEL LOOK", but I have seriously mellowed since joining this forum.

I guess I needed "THE 12 STEP PROGRAM", being addicted to those "24's" :lol: .

Got the seats painted. They were the same red as the door panels seen in earlier pics.

Was going to use 4 buckets, but didn't seem to fit the period build look.

It's also done in one of my all time favorite color combinations!!

Keep up the <b><u>GREAT</u></b> work,<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

THANKS RAUL <img src="http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":lol:" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

Revell '67 Dodge Charger kit gave up it's 426 Street Hemi to power this little "SLEEPER" Classic.

A little prodding and pushing and she slipped right in after a little "Coaxing" <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":lol:" border="0" alt="cool.gif" /> .

Ready now for the radiator and sheet metal panel that covers the gap between the grill and the radiator.

Interior floor board, chassis and seats are installed, and need to put the door panels in next.

Still gotta add lotsa under hood stuff and chassis stuff, and a few do-dads <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":lol:" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> .

Here's a couple pics.

Here's a pic of the stance and the wheels sittin' under the car to see how she looks.

Body still needs wipers, door handles and a mirror. Wheels will get knock-offs.

Chassis and under hood still need lotsa pieces.

Probably another week, and maybe she'll be done <img src="http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="cool.gif"
