He and partner Tommy Boyce {RIP} were the Genius Duo who made the Monkey's a hit. They wrote most of the Monkey's Hit songs and had a fabulous song writing and singing career of their own.

Saw this the other day and wondered if anyone would comment on it. It's amazing how many songs these guys wrote that were hits; not only for others but some for themselves too.
