Dragline Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 67, 68 Big Block Shelby's and my old Factory Five Cobra. I miss the old girl................. Bob
georgelopez66 Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 My favorite car that I can afford, is my F250 pickup. One that I can not afford, and probably never will, is the 1967 Shelby GT500. I have been in love with that car, since my early childhood.
Blue coyote Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 You want to talk odd? My favourite car of all time is the 78 King Cobra. Modified, of course. Not just because I own one, though. I've loved the Mustang II since the first one I ever saw (which happened to be a 1:25 AMT "Python" kit, BTW), and has continued through almost twenty years of owning them. As it sits, mine is a modified King Cobra, Black on Black T-top, cammed 5.0 automatic (4-speed waiting to go in), 68 4-bbl intake and Holley 650 (probably swapping for an Edelbrock 289 Torker highrise intake), Flex-a-lite electric fan, 2.79 gears (4.10 Trak/Lok waiting to go in), 225/50R15's on the front, 295/50R15's on the rear, H4 headlight conversion, all-red taillight conversion, and currently in the middle of replacing the blacked trim with chrome and swapping to a 74 header panel and grille. And since I mostly build models of Mustang II's, this HAS helped me build better models. Any time I get stuck on how to make a model more "correct" I just have to look in the driveway, the garage, or the shop for perfect reference material...
Ben Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 The 1987 Buick GNX!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'd be willing to trade my 69 Camaro for one in a heartbeat!!!!
vizio93 Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 mine is pretty much anythang that Carrol Shelby has had a part in making.
FujimiLover Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 Well, I think you all know by now, for me it's the Koenig Specials Competition Testarossa. I love that car!

E St. Kruiser50 Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 My all time favorite car was my first one. It was a 1950 Merc I got in 1960 while in high school. I graduated still working on it, but 6 month's later it was done with a 1953 Chrysler Hemi in it, with dual quads, and other "Goodies", and the body mildly customized. This is a model of it I built last year for "sentimentals" . This is my other fav of all time. I spent over three years doing a ground up on this '57 Pontiac Safari Wagon, back in the early 70's.
4BKT VET Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 69 Charger R/T 440 4spd. 69 Superbee 440 Auto. 69 Camaro SS. 69 Nova SS. 95 Impala SS These are MY favorite cars, because I've been privliged to actually own them. I don't daydream about cars I CAN'T afford, no matter how cool they are. I'm a realist and if I can't afford it, I don't even consider it. These cars I mentioned were FAST, Beautiful, and MINE!!!! My Daughter owns the Camaro now,I still own the Impala, but I'll NEVER forget my Charger, my FAVORITE of the bunch!!! I totally agree. My interpretation of this is at least "...car you have ever actually experienced behind the wheel". In this order; 70 SuperBird (handels better at 120 than it does at 50). 69 440 SuperBee (440 Six Pac 4spd. Not a gear or tire combo can keep you from spinning them). Mom's 70 Challenger (Orange, 426, dual quads, fact. headders, 4 spd., 3:1, radio deleat, rubber matt, noisey and haul @%^!) 2005 GTO ( current DD, great for big mountain roads). 67 Miura (Not what you'd expect, but sounds bitchin'). 64 Chevelle wagon (2 door car would hunker down at 110MPH, excellent traveling car). 67 Malibu (Great Vintage American, too much to say). ...and several others
7000in5th Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 Nassau, December, 1963 - possibly the Grand Sport's finest hour! Number 80 is Chassis 005 and number 50 is 004. This car, this place, this time - the best ever!
