The kit isn't supposed to represent a factory stock truck so I'd imagine there's be thousands of Blazers equipped with tires that look very very similar to those kit tires.

Just do what you'd do with a real truck if you didn't like the tires, get a different set. 

After all, it's a automotive model kit, not a jigsaw puzzle. You don't have to build it exactly like the picture on the box. 😉

The consensus is they are poorly detailed with shallow tread which I agree with. They look like cheap diecast tires and I think they are a waste of new tooling (honestly Revell has had pretty poor tires on all their new tool kits lately other than the '71 Mustang IMO).

This ^^^^^, sums up my complaints in a nutshell.

Revell wasted tooling dollars on these lousy things........
