Gary Chastain Posted Monday at 07:13 PM Author Posted Monday at 07:13 PM Some progress today: all tank (fuel and DEF) mounts built, need finish work, straps built. Make up filler necks tomorrow. Partial assembly tomorrow and get ready for primer/paint. Paint will be here Friday. Still waiting on body, suspension parts and one more axle. 8
Gary Chastain Posted 6 hours ago Author Posted 6 hours ago Taking a little time before the turkey, cut apart a heavy kit axle to mimic the white metal axle kit, modifying the parts for an .062 kingpin. Never done this before, so hopefully it doesn’t end up in my box of bad ideas. At least I got to try out my new vise, works pretty good. 5

Was trying to mimic the 24,000 lb axle that would be used under a C500, if I got my facts correct. 2 1
