Jonathan Posted Wednesday at 02:15 AM Posted Wednesday at 02:15 AM Hello All. I'm attempting to repair an old build of mine - the AMT "Street Machine" 1950 Chevy 3100. I need the dropped front axle for it. Anyone in the USA (I'm in NC) have one? Or do you know of other kits that may have the same - or similar - part?
Steamboat Posted Wednesday at 11:38 AM Posted Wednesday at 11:38 AM I've been 3d printing my own for a while now, but I've been having a problem with the resin being too soft and eventually the axle sags. Haven't been able to work through that yet. Honestly, if you can't find an original, it looks like you could glue a piece of styrene rod or possibly sprue onto your axle to serve as a spindle.

DJMar Posted yesterday at 03:27 AM Posted yesterday at 03:27 AM If that doesn't work out, Iceman offers a front & rear drop for this kit: https://icemancollections.com/products/1-25-1950-chevy-3100-pickup-dropping-slamming-set For $15 + postage, you get two axles and a set of lowering blocks for the rear.
