DJMar Posted Tuesday at 01:37 AM Posted Tuesday at 01:37 AM I'd say that's a pretty snazzy piece for your first model. Congrats!

I never expected for my post to get this much attention. I ended up cutting off a lot of stuff, I saved a ton of money thanks to you guys. I ended up getting the AMT GT350, the Boss 351 ran out of stock by the time I got a chance to head to the store. I had a blast, I'll for sure be picking up another one soon. I did get a bit messy, but overall I did better than I expected. How'd I do? What can I improve on? Looks real Good from this side of the Monitor! You've done very Well. Keep Building.
Dave G. Posted Tuesday at 09:58 AM Posted Tuesday at 09:58 AM I have that kit in my stash someplace, since about 1990 I think. Thanks for building it ! You're brave going with black on your fist build, arguably not always the easiest to get right. You did well on a first build, congrats ! You will grow from here, half the battle is just finishing that first kit. So no nit picking, not from me at least. 1

Black is a pain at times to come out right, and you did fantastic! The decal work looks great too! You should be proud man!! I am for you! What are you going to build next?

First and foremost, my standard advice is that if you haven't built anything before or haven't done so in many years, build one or two cars without painting them. That experience will be a great help to you. One thing I really like about building kits is that you decide the level yourself, and even more so, it's optional if you want to make it a material sport. A hobby knife that can't roll is a good buy. Some have a square on the handle so that it can't roll (over the edge of the table with the blade down into your foot...🩸). Done that, it hurts!
