speedy5963 Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 (edited) As you guys have probably noticed I've been pulling old projects and working on them as I'm getting back into modeling. This was out of the Revell Race team van kit. A couple of buddies and myself were drinking one night and deceded to pull out the heat lamp and try something different. We used House of Kolors Solar Gold and the other gold base, Orion silver, planet green and pearl white then laid down a number of Organic Green coats then a few coats of PPG clear. It is hard to pick up all the different shades of green in the pics but it came out quite nice. I have to dig out the rest of the kit and hopefully you guy will see it finished soon! Foxer Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 That's looking good!. Glad to see a van coming together as I keep getting this uncontrollable itch to do a detailed.. in and out .. van and I have WAY too much going here to even think about it, never mind scratch. If you keep this going so I can watch maybe my itch will get some suppression.
randx0 Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 sweet paint job . Nice to see a van getting some attention .keep us posted!

speedy5963 Posted May 25, 2009 Author Posted May 25, 2009 Thank you guys for all the comments! Glad you enjoy the pics. This one and a 41 Revell Willy's I have painted House of Kolor Sunset Pearl were two that were painted and just sat. The Willy's actually never even left the paint paddle I used to tag the body to for painting for a number of years. I am not sure which direction I will going with this, originally it was suppose to be more of a lowrider but I'm thinking about maybe a thin whitewall or black wall with a nice mag for a 70's look.
