Another tub for another day....

This is a largely kitbashed 1932 Ford Phantom Vicky Phaeton. It uses the body, interior, and the frame crossmembers from the AMT-Ertl kit of the late 1990's designed by John Mueller and Jairus Watson, combined with frame rails and suspension of the Revell 1932 Ford Hot Rod kit series, and the Motor City Flatheads replica found in the Revell 1948 Ford Convertible kit. The paint is either AMC 1971 Mustard or MoPar 1971 "Butterscotch" (real auto paint, airbrushed), having been inspired by an old Street Rodder magazine 1932 Ford Tudor cover car image. Those fat dirt tracker rear tires are from the Replicas and Miniatures of Maryland parts catalog.

Noticing some leftover wax residue on this one and one other in this album....please try to look away from that and I will try to fix it at a later date...some more images below, and thanks for looking....TIM

Looking good Tim! That cover of Street Rodder with Jim Benitez's sedan hit me pretty hard. That is one of my favorite "modern" era hot rods. Absolutely love the that color combination.

Amazing combo on this one Tim. And that wax residue looks like sand built up from after surfing at the beach.

You know, I'd forgotten about that Motor City Flathead in the Revell '48 kit. It looks right at home in this build! What transmission did you use with it?

Hi DJ...don't recall for sure (probably been 20+ years since it was built) but I am guessing it was the T5 tranny that came with the original Ford Modular V8 that was in the AMT/Ertl Phantom Vicky kit....TB
