reflective white markings on white patrol cars

How would you do white, reflective markings on a white patrol car? I'm not doing this, but saw a local PD vehicle with this combo the other day and it's got me wondering how this could be done. Perhaps masking and use pearl white for the markings?

It maybe could be done with vinyl cut on a Cricut machine........

Duplicolor had a paint called Nite Lites which was reflective particles in a clear carrier. It worked somewhat well, but I believe they discontinued it. You might be able to get a similar effect with a clear pearl coat. But that depends on the look you're hoping to achieve.

Reflective vinyl is an option, if you find a product that isn't too thick.

I had a friend give me a piece of reflective vinyl once that they used on real municipal vehicles.  I cut it into the strips I want and lay it on.  Super sticky backing so it has to go on correctly the first time but they do look nice.  Here's an example.  

The yellow stripes are 3M tape.  The white ones are the reflective vinyl.
