I've been conversing with my friend Frank Luque (well known on the Spotlight board) in text messages and he inspired me with his recent build of this new Moebius kit. It seems like a great kit, perfect to kick off the new building season. Started carving on it this weekend at my friend Chuck Darnells Build N Bull. I do not care for the snorkel hood in the kit, so the first order of business was to cut the flat hood out of an AMT 64 Comet. The hood in the AMT is slightly narrower then the Moebius opening so I had two options, cut it out and add styrene strip to the edges, or cut it out wider and sand to fit. The second option sacrifices the AMT body, but requires less work so I went with option 2.

Mission accomplished. At this point I needed to sand the back edge a bit more to even up the front with the fenders.

I decided to open the trunk as well, even thought there's nothing back there to look at lol. Haven't decided if I'm going to build a top for the fuel cell or just add a smooth piece over the entire rear section. Not much more planned as far as mods except possibly slightly lowering the front ride height and replacing the undersized master cylinder.
