Rockford Posted November 22 Posted November 22 Got this for £1 off eBay. I was the only bidder. It was rather grotty and benefitted from a good bath. Then I took a saw to the cab and reduced it to a day cab. Not my tidiest cut but it'll do. Cut the interior down too. I don't really know where I'm going with this. Should I just do a day cab tractor or something else? Part of me has wanted to do a Navajo Freightlines drom, and this would fit the bill except that it's not a Freightliner. I'm torn. 6
TopherMcGinnis Posted November 22 Posted November 22 I googled custom cab over and found some nice examples. 1
Gary Chastain Posted November 22 Posted November 22 Curious to see what you do with it, like your direction already 1 1
Pete68 Posted November 23 Posted November 23 This will be a cool one Steve and what a deal on your find glad you got one for a decent price. I’ll be following along 1 1

I hadn’t seen many day cab, cab overs, apart from the Canadian Freightways trucks in Northern BC, back when I was in high school. Like Topher, made me curious to search, and there are sure lots of pics out there. Maybe the deck plates and fenders, on the one below, could be body colour - Edited November 23 by BK9300 3

It's nice to know there's people looking out for me! 1
Rockford Posted November 23 Author Posted November 23 Let a rear window into the rear wall of the cab. Used the remnants of the Aerodyne cap to form the cab roof. Trimmed the cab step down to a single dogleg similar to ones I've seen on the interwebs and drilled the cab. 3

Thought the concept was cool - don't want you to think there's any high jacking of your thread going on! 2
