Keef Posted November 23 Posted November 23 Does anyone print or offer an up top for the convertible kit?
Mike Chernecki Posted Tuesday at 07:01 PM Posted Tuesday at 07:01 PM I bought one of those tops, but it does not fit, and the rear is wrong (It should be square and not curved to match the hardtop window lower edge). 1
chryslerjunkandstuff Posted Wednesday at 06:31 AM Posted Wednesday at 06:31 AM Ditto, I really WANT that 3D Scale Parts convertible top to be GREAT, especially considering the price, BUT, it is wrong in nearly every possible way, unfortunately.. Correct me if I'm wrong, which I probably am, but didn't at least one issue of the AMT/Ertl '69 Plymouth GTX convertible come with a convertible up-top?? Anyway, if someone does come up with a styrene or resin cast solution for these convertible tops, PLEASE post it here, I'd be down to buy a couple of em..
CapSat 6 Posted Wednesday at 04:10 PM Posted Wednesday at 04:10 PM I think some of the old, original Jo-Han '62''64 Dodges and Plymouths came with up-tops, as well as some of their mid-60's C Body Convertible kits. I'm not sure exactly which ones- I don't really pay close attention to convertible kits, or the earlier stuff. To my knowledge, no '68-'70 B Body kit has ever come with an up-top. I don't think any of those old Jo Han kit pieces could be adapted to the later cars. Here's an old thread that describes the differences...
