Wolf Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Wonderful work Gary and love the colors so far. Out of curiosity, how are you creating the round portion of your fuel tanks? Are you using large diameter styrene tube or are you creating the curvatures from flat styrene sheet? I’ve always found it a challenge to get the curvature perfectly round when getting the ends of styrene sheet to meet up. Inquiring minds……..you know? Cheers, Wolf 1

Cheers, Wolf For the tanks, I use PVC pipe from Home Depot, then super glue .060 Evergreen sheet stock on the ends and then sand flush, lastly I round the ends over with sandpaper, but you could use kit tank ends..it bugs me about how out of round kit tank halves are , the seams left to look at and the sink in the just makes it a challenge. Always felt that tanks are kind of a focal point when looking at a build. 2

I like that light bar too Thanks Lee, first time trying to add more detail to quarter fenders and was looking for an aluminum look, just noticed that I have one light hole out of position, so I may make another light bar. 3
BK9300 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Painted tanks look really good, Gary. Again, they look polished, right out of the paint booth - very nice! 1

Thanks, wish I was having the same luck with the hood, I will be on my third try to get a good finish on the hood, fish eyes that keep coming back. Base coats on the cab and headed in the right direction. 2
Gary Chastain Posted 3 hours ago Author Posted 3 hours ago Picked up two bags on fittings (90 and 45 elbows, tees and junction tees) , one in 1,4 inch and the other in 3/16. Liked them so much, I just ordered two more bags of each. 2
