Built one way back when it was first made by the Hawk company but cannot remember there being any issues. It anyone is looking to build a SF Cable Car kit, there is a company named Occre that make a kit in wood and metal in 1/24th scale depicting one of the double ended SF Cable Cars. Maybe I will put it on my Fathers Day list Those ship models are amazing. I think that I do have enough skills to tackle the Rigging. Did you check out the build videos?
