7000in5th Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 ...and here is the Deux Chevaux we all remember.... BTW, I drove one once, the gearshift out of the instrument panel takes a little getting used to.
Foxer Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 I would like to see this one when it's finished! Oh man...! That actually looks cool.. but just don't let the French see it!!
Modelmartin Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 Oh man...! That actually looks cool.. but just don't let the French see it!! Actually, the French cut them up just as much as we do if not more!
Jon Cole Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 Here is a 2CV that ran @ Pikes Peak: . I think it's the "Tickle Me Elmo" of race cars.
Nick F40 Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 ahhh yeah I forgot about that one. That is surely sweet looking, but definetly not what Citroen originally put in it. It was funny when Steve? in American Graffiti drove that, he said when they were filming, he actually missed a shift.

Close, but it was "Kurt" (Richard Dreyfuss) actually. Some movie site says the car is a 1967 2CV (where were you in '62? - Kurt was in the future, apparently).
Chuck Most Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 (edited) Did someone say 2CV gasser? This is an altered but it's close enough! Thank you, Andy!!!! Edited June 5, 2009 by Chuck Most
E St. Kruiser50 Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 I thought I was the only "Weird Person" who liked these little cars. I have been a "Closet Admirer" for years, and have a couple Tamiya and Gunze Sangyo kits. Guess I can actually show them, now that I'm OK with buildin' them
Modelmartin Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 I would like to see this one when it's finished! Gee! Number 66! Do you think this may have been an ill-fated Jim hall "Chapparal" project???? Inquiring minds want to know!
Foxer Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 Gee! Number 66! Do you think this may have been an ill-fated Jim hall "Chapparal" project???? Inquiring minds want to know! I think you may be correct, Andy. But later, they extended the rear door edges to a square box.
