Mike C Posted yesterday at 11:04 AM Posted yesterday at 11:04 AM (edited) I got a text from UPS yesterday about their "delivery attempt". I looked at the tracking, it shows two different times. Well, I have a doorbell camera, nobody was anywhere near my front door at those times. I was right at home, nobody ever knocked or rang the doorbell. They were pretty late too, a little after 9 PM and then at 10:45 PM. Edited yesterday at 11:41 AM by Mike C 1

All with the same house number. Misdeliveries are quite common. We just check the delivery pic and go to pick at the wrong spot. Same with delivery notifications. And maybe the shipper screwed writing the label.

No, they didn't deliver it to anyone. It went back to the warehouse and now the tracking says I should get it today by 9 PM.

I get occasional "attempted delivery at such-and-such-a-time" from UPS, FED EX, and USPS on things that need to be signed for. As I can have a grands worth of AN fittings come in, for example, in a smallish box, I can't afford to let it sit on the porch. What's weird is that they almost always happen when I'm at home...because tracking says there will be a delivery requiring a signature...to see in the flesh that nobody actually came to the house. I also usually leave a big printed sign on the door that says "UPS KNOCK LOUD" or something similar. I've been in business for decades, and don't recall delivery problems being as frequent as they are now. But wutchoo gunna doo? It bees wut it bees. 1
johnyrotten Posted yesterday at 03:50 PM Posted yesterday at 03:50 PM I just went through similar, ended up with a free bag of dog food out of the deal. I'm thinking the driver's are fat fingering the computer screen, or is trying to get out of a delivery or two. 1
1930fordpickup Posted yesterday at 05:41 PM Posted yesterday at 05:41 PM I was talking to my delivery (mail)man oops person. He says they are running short staff because they are not replacing the people who retire. So they have more to do with less people. They closed the UPS building in monroe and I have no idea where the trucks are driving from now. The building is up for sale. And I rarely see the same driver from any of the other companies on my street. Some times just a random.person will pull up and delivery packages in thier own car wearing a safety yellow shirt. Being the last house on a dead end road they all turn around in my driveway. 3 of the ladies around me like to have packages delivered.
