Callelk Posted Friday at 12:58 PM Posted Friday at 12:58 PM Looking for the AMT 06-553-149 full kit. I had one after I sold my 1957 Chevy Stepside. It was black on black, all stock with the exception of Crager S/S wheels. Wish now I would have kept both cars.

I bought it right after I got out of the service, had all the badges removed except on the front hood, painted it Chrome Yellow, Cragar SS wheels on wider tires, stock interior with a 4-channel 8 track. I dumped the straight 6 and installed a 327, 10:1 forged pistons, Duntov 30-30 cam, Edelbrock manifold with a Holly 650, Hooker Headers and Cherry Bombs. Traded the granny 4-speed for a Muncie 4-speed and bought a Hurst Shifter for it. Any new turbo V6 would probably blow it away but not look or sound as good. The Riv was something I had to have. As I mentioned, it was Black on Black with Cragar SS wheels. Other that the wheels and slightly wider tires, it was bone stock. Sergio Pininfarina called the Riviera "One of the most beautiful American cars ever built" so that is saying something. I know the chicks liked it.
1930fordpickup Posted Friday at 07:34 PM Posted Friday at 07:34 PM The 65 is the only new kit as the molds were changed from 63-64 then to the 65. A good example of a 63 can be pricey. You could look for a good 63 body and needed differences between the years.
