diymirage Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 Rudy: for the turbos i used ~1/8" diameter solder wrapped around a short piece of 7/32 aluminum tubing with small ring of 1.5mm solder between the exhaust and compressor sides of the turbo. all the piping was the same 1/8" solder. that is exactly the way mine are build i had a ford product once it got crushed between a dodge and a chevy who knew you cant go 3 wide down 16th street
Chuck Most Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 (edited) No offense, but Id go for a Chevy powered Ford any day. Who in his right mind WOULDN'T?! I probably should have eluded to this right off the bat, but my statement above is just DRIPPING with sarcasm! Edited June 26, 2009 by Chuck Most
moonlite5hadow Posted June 26, 2009 Author Posted June 26, 2009 i would rather have a twin turbo Z*!! but then again, i've been a datson/nissan kid since birth (grandpa had a 510 wagon, then a 240z) *workin on a TT Z as my 1:1 plaything.
Chuck Most Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 I'm starting to eye that '86 El Camino kit in my stash and wonder if that four-cam Ford Mod motor from the AMT Phantom Vicky kit would fit... ... or perhaps the supercharged Shelby 5.4? No, maybe kitbash a couple of mod V8s into a Triton V-10...
