ok got this kit awhile ago, got into it the other week, and was really disapointed, I've seen snap kits with more parts, so I dacided I would build a blah, cruz'r out of her. drop her to the weeds, smooth her out, slip some nice wheel under her, then had issues withe engine, so back to the box she went for a rainy day, where then she would get strip'd of anything usefull, and thrown into the parts box.

Well the other day I get this '65 Gran Prix, in the mail. kewl, so I'm sittin there sniff'n the plastic, when I think  I got a 2+2 in the box I wonder, so I take out a few of the kustom goodies ouda the Gran Prix and put them on the 2+2, so here are a few pic's to show you all where it sits right now, I added one of the 2 rear pans I cut this one out for the tail lights, from the Gran Prix, along with one of the grills

I fully understand your disappointment with the 2+2. I picked it up several years ago as part of the Prestige Series and my reaction was like yours. Back to the box it went for several months while I worked on projects worthy of my time. Eventually, it resurfaced and ended up with the top dropped around 4" and slammed to the ground.

The use of the custom parts from the GP make a world of difference in the look and attitude of that body. I like what you've got going there, keep us posted on your progress.

I've always liked the lines of this here Pony, even stock. Looks really cool, low like you gots it, and them rolled pans gonna make it even mo' sweeter  . Yeah, keep us posted ;)

That combination of parts gives me some ideas.......

BTW the "lack of parts" is just the way these kits were "back in the day". Nice body and interior, one-piece chassis with metal wire axles and a fairly simple engine. We loved 'em.
