Guest Mustang3.8 Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 Hey, y'all. Before I came to be a member of this great site, I was a member on another model car site, and I was kicked off permanently because I found out that the site founder did not like me or my building style. Now, I ask y'all this, is that fair?
Harry P. Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 Need more information to make a judgement... BTW... what's up with a guy from Canada saying "y'all"??? Aren't you a bit too far north to be speaking "suthern"???
Guest Mustang3.8 Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 (edited) It was not Scale Auto. I like it here. And as for sayin' "y'all", I have decendents from Kentucky. I should also mention, that 2 of his top moderators, and best friends threatened to quit if I was not kicked off. I never got a single negative comment from either of them. Ryan Quantz Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 Kevin, I usually stalk this site because I usually have nothing to say. But this topic is another story. I think you are opening a serious can of worms here. I do not think MCM is the place to be bringing this up. What's done is done, you know the situation and you know darn well the truth of the matter. This forum should not be an avenue to bash another site when 90% of MCM members are clueless as to what all sides of the story are. I'm not trying to be rude, I am not saying you're wrong. I just don't think it's appropriate to beat this dead horse any more, especially months after it happened. Just let bygones be bygones and keep building and making new friends...

You're right. I was just upset after what I heard. You're a good friend. Can an admin. please remove this topic. Thanks, Ryan.

So do not worry say goodbye there and post all you want here!! We wont run you off......unless you build Donks

Harry P. Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 hey, canada is south of where i am..... So do you vacation in "southern Canada" then? I hear the weather down there is real nice... Hey... if you lived in Barrow, Alaska, ALL of Canada would be south of you...
Chuck Most Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 So do you vacation in "southern Canada" then? I hear the weather down there is real nice... Forty degrees... and no wind! Can ya say "Heat Wave"?
E St. Kruiser50 Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 Hey, y'all. ....... is that fair? Hey Kevin One of the lessons I learned in the adult world, and passed on to my kids as they were growing up, is that there is "NO SUCH THING AS FAIR". Life just happens, and like it was said earlier, there's always two sides to every story, and we just need to learn to "Get over things" and move on. Grudges and bad feelings waist the good times you could be enjoying. Shame you had a bad experience, but hope you enjoy us here, and share your projects with us, as we look forward to seeing them. All the best - dave
samdiego Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 (edited) Canada gots southern stuff? Edited June 19, 2009 by samdiego

CAL Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 there's more to this story isn't there. i know ALOT of people have issues with Scale Auto and it's always with not following the rules over there. i don't know if that's where you were kicked off of, but i'm taking a guess. Dave Didn't get kicked off, but have had a number of posts deleted and warned for the most rediculous, stupidest, petty things. I guess it's a pretty good place if you are in the IN group over there, otherwise it's just a matter of time before you get sick of the bs and leave or are asked to.
Harry P. Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 That's the best thing about this place: We're all part of the "in group"...
CAL Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 That's the best thing about this place: We're all part of the "in group"... I agree there.
Harry P. Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 Don't think so Harry, , There's a heack of a lot of Canada farther north than Barrow. Aulavik National Park is farther north than that. , , and Alert, Nunavut, is the most northerly inhabited settlement in the world. Sorry, professor... I forgot about those icebergs up there you Canucks call Nunavut...
Dingo Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 (edited) I got banned from a plastic modeller site don't know which one because I put a couple of cardstock models on even though one was part of a plastic truck load go figure hey ????? anyway I couldn't or even give a rats bum for that site anyway too bleeding picky for me. No, I did not get a refund, and I don't want one. I really liked that site. I had made some good friends on there. I've also started making some friends on here as well.

I had almost the exact same thing happen on the same site by the same person, He said that my models were crapy he stated that i had no talent nor any brains and that he would more than happily continue to accept my donations but i was no longer allowed to view his website.

LUKE'57 Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 That's the best thing about this place: We're all part of the "in group"... All right, that's it. I'm out'a here! There is NO WAY that I want to be part of anything that I could be included in with the IN GROUP!!!!!
