Harry P. Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 Is Canada Day the Canadian Independence Day? Like our 4th of July? If so, you can't see this, but I'm toasting you Canucks by having some back bacon and a Molson right now...

RJWood Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 Is Canada Day the Canadian Independence Day? Like our 4th of July? If so, you can't see this, but I'm toasting you Canucks by having some back bacon and a Molson right now... mmmm, back bacon and Molson. The party is on at Harry's. And it should continue until the 4th of July, with hotdogs, Coors & fireworks. See you all at Harry's LOL Have a great Canada day to all the Canadians.
BigGary Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 Yes, Harry, Canada Day is like Independence Day down here. I had the privilege of being in Toronto on Canada Day in 2000. It was great. We spent about half the day at the waterfront enjoying the festivities. Gary
Harry P. Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 You might just be a Canadian if: You design your Halloween costume to fit over a snowsuit. You have more miles on your snowblower than your car. You have 10 favorite recipes for moose meat. You've taken your kids trick-or-treating in a blizzard. Driving is better in the winter because the potholes are filled in with snow. You owe more money on your snowmobile than your car. The most effective mosquito repellent is a shotgun. Your get stuck while snowblowing... on the roof! You find -40C a "little chilly." The trunk of your car doubles as a deep freezer. You know the four seasons: Almost Winter, Winter, Still Winter and Construction. No offense, guys! Happy C.D.! BTW: I once visited Toronto for about a week, and I liked the city so much I seriously considered moving there. No joke! Absolutely one of the coolest cities I've ever been to!
Harry P. Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 I think a lot of us down here in the US are a little jealous of you guys... you have basically all the same benefits we have here in the US as far as freedom, prosperity, standard of living, education, etc., but none of the hassles, like trying to be the world's policeman. Canada is what the US would be if only we didn't have that "Superpower" label attached to us... and the expectations that go with it. My theory: the less your country is in the news, the better a place is probably is to live.
george 53 Posted July 2, 2009 Posted July 2, 2009 Happy Canada Day also, and ya'll can come an shop our malls ANYTIME ya's feel like it!!!! An tell the Border Trolls I SAID you can cross the bridge!!!!
beefheart22 Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 Oh baby, did somebody mention Kraft Dinner? Canada, she's a beauty, eh?
FujimiLover Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 I loved "That 70's Show" episode where the kids make a run to Canada to bring back some beer. Kelso makes fun of the Canadian's. "Do you sometimes get an American quarter in change from the machines?" "If you call ham Canadian bacon, what do you call bacon?" Something along those lines. Funny episode!
FujimiLover Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 (edited) When you have Egg's Benedict, it's either called ham, or canadian bacon. Same thing really. It's all meat to me! I liked it when Tommy Chung repeats the officer's questions. "What are YOU doing in Canada?" And dont' forget FEZ's rambling. "Bibibdiboo?" Or whatever it was, alien talk! LOL!
