OK guys I decided to give this a new page from the construction one and after weeks of trying to get that black paint right and I know it's not perfect BUT I've given up and stuck with how it is now, the "little beauty" my commant for the it only not the whole model and certainly not an Aussie saying now sits proudly on my display shelf in my den along with all the other kit models I have done, so if you want laugh away have fun but remember I do it for me not to win sheep stations or to be king dick, top dog I'd never be that and I'm the first to admit it BUT I like building kits especially OOB with a few mods.

Now here is my Mack Hearse.

The side curtains are cardstock and on the outside as that was the only place to put them no room inside.

Welp Dingo, I AIN'T never seen one, but that don't mean they DON'T exist! If they DO, then I'd bet they'd look like THAT!!!!

I happen ta like it, an from the rest of the stuff I've seen , from you guys "Downunda" just about anything that rolls has a purpose!, B) A little" Artistic Expresion" is always welcome in the modeling world, and you've expressed yourself quite nicely! GREAT job Mate! Cheers! :):D

George thanks for your comment it was great to see a bit of positive reaction after all the ###### I got over this one, to start with yes it's a bit of artistic expression no it isn't what we had as you say downunda and I agree we do, do truck in Australia a bit different to the rest of the world but if you saw our conditions here you would agree why that is so, our conditions are quite harsh to the rest of the world George just visit and see.

George Morphett Vale is a nice suburban town if you want to call it that, it's part of the main city of Adelaide and what is called an outer suburb we are some 24 kilometers from the city that is after leaving the main southern suburb area and going into the hills yea we're in the hills it's quiet most of the time except for 2 hours in the morning & the evening when the traffic is going to and from work or whatever, we do get the occassional truck using their exhaust brakes on a slight and I mean a very slight downhill grade, they don't really need to use 'em but they do and this is done in the wee small hours of the morning like 2-4am and it's annoying. I have writing to the company concerned and our local council (simular to ylour county shire) but all I got from the company was a big fat shut the heck up you have no idea and from the council I got a big fat no answer at all so I guess we will jsut have to put up with it as the state government handles things like this the same way no answer. Anywa apart from that it's main quiet and we like that way, the neighbour can be a bit noisy sometime so a simple shut-up gets a responce of quiet from from or the cops come round to let them know. So I guess George the neighbour hood i a bit like yours, as normal as you can get as far as normal goes hey.

Dingo-

I don't see why everybody's panties got all bunched up over this build- I think it's beautiful! Wonder if they hauled off the body of Fatty Arbuckle in such a vehicle...

Dingo, I've just landed on this forum by sheer chance and found it has a truck section, although looking through some of the amazing car builds, I'm tempted to flip over to the dark side for a while, maybe build that Ferrari 250 GTO I keep promising myself, one day eh? Good to find you here and I'm pleased to see you persevered with this build. I have several of those old AMT Mack's in the stash, one of which will eventually become the basis of a 1930's NYFD Mack Pumper. I'm off to spend a couple of hours looking through the postings here.

Nick.
