OK, here's another in the shop of the Unforgiven, now I got this from a friend of mine and was going to go pro/mod, but ahhhh what the heck try something I usually don't do, now tha plan is simple realy, drop her in the rear, with some molded cruz'r skirts, fill in the rear pan, and the front valance, with a set of lake pipes, on beauty ring'd with moon cap'd white walls, well these first few shots are of before I started the body work, so I'll let the pic's show you,

This build's really fresh ;) , especially the wrap-around molded in skirts and the overall sculpted look. The stance, now that you've brought the rear end down a little more, is spot on! What are your plans for the grille, if any? Any thoughts on paint?

Well the paint if all goes right will be Dupli-color metal spec Silver, with a few coats of Kandy Cobolt Blue, as for the grill I was thinking of useing the kits costom grill, and filling in the front valance, and the hood intake grills,

The front end sounds good, in keeping with the molded in look of the rear. Filled in grill intakes on '59's always look cool. Regarding the paint, IMHO the problem with something like Duplicolor Metalspecks is that as a metalflake it doesn't scale well down to 1/25. The flakes look gigantic. (It's even worse when photographed, especially in sunlight or flash.) You might want to try more ordinary metallics with a finer flake. A few test shots will tell the tale. Just my 2 cents worth, which probably ain't worth much...

Well it gets me to thinking, I did have a can of metal flake from HOK, but its all gone, but man I'm just not into paying like 5 bux a can plus shipping, for a lil can of the stuff, but I will do a spoon test, your probly right tho....

It's too nice a build not to nail the paint. You might try some of the hobby metallics like from Testors or Tamiya. Sometimes they're coarse enough to work as metalflakes. I use Duplicolor metallics but they're very fine and work well as candy apple base coats. Probably too fine for a scale metalflake, though. Whatever you decide I'm sure it wuill be fine 'cause the overall build will show you the way...

I love the carpeting and seats, is the rest of the interior staying white?

Yea most of the interior will be white, doing the door pannels as I type this, but am having issues with the window cranks, have to figure out how or what to use to scratch build them I guess, or just go without them, and let everyone think it has all power goodies....

Power windows would be the easiest route i guess. Im sure you could carve out a pair of cranks from a piece of styrene, or maybe rob another kit for its cranks. Either way, this build is going to turn out great.
