Towmaster Dave Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 I have wanted to build this kit for a long time, it was a fun build. I decided to build this with with the Hemi with a MAD pre-wired distributor as a street truck and got building. I came across some '69 Superbee stripes, added those and them R/T decals from a '69 Charger. I Took the Dodge lettering off the front and added smaller Dodge decals which I like better. Paint is Testors One Coat Purple-Icious wit Wet Look Clear.I used several other parts from the '69 Charger kit and Pegasus Chrome T's. Hope you like it as much as I enjoyed building it. Comments welcomed good or bad. Thanks Dave
RodneyBad Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 Cool. Love the color. I didn't think those wheels and tires would fit under it. They look good. Very cool, you can tune it as ya drive.
Gregg Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 two cents from da boss Add the new Challenger or other RT/SRT rims. Love the build!
Jared Roach Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 It's really nice, I like the color of it, I thing it really sets it off,btw is that the lindinburg kit?
diymirage Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 nice which reminds me, i should work on my dodge L-700 (mine wont have a hemi but i cant say it never crossed my mind)
James Flowers Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 What a nice refreshing build . Nice color and wheel choice. Only thing it needs is a nice set of four wheel disk brakes on it.
Towmaster Dave Posted July 20, 2009 Author Posted July 20, 2009 When you got a Hemi, who needs brakes. I realized I forgot the disk brakes after the glue was applied. Gregg, I thought about a Magnum 500 wheel, I dont have any of the newer Factory wheels, but liked the lowered look with the Chrome T's
GOTH KUSTOMS Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 Man it looks great, nice to see something other then freakin rat rods and, just ol' moldy out of the box builds, everyone building the same ol' thing, great job, everything is perfect....
Guest Gassersgarage Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 What is wrong with oob builds? NOTHING Robert
diymirage Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 What is wrong with oob builds? NOTHING Robert OOBs can be great to get you out of that funk they are just what the docter ordered to get you going again and on top of that, OOBs are where you can really shine, show what you can do with the kit and the kit alone i think the next time i "organize" a build off i just might make it a OO buildoff with just a limited selection of kits to choose from (say the B body cars) and see how people perform under such a tight "poetic" budget
