What's the prefered way to thin Tamiya paints for use in an airbrush? Im using a Aztek 470.

assuming your using acrylics and not TS decanted, mix tamiya thinner between 1:1 and 2:1 (thinner : paint)

and it will be like 2% milk in a glass..20 to 30 psi and go for it!

You can use rubbing or denatured alcohol although their thinner is a little better for the gloss colors.

I use methyl hydrate myself. Seems to do the trick.

for your best results and less chance of sumthin' weird happening...use Tamiya's thinner

and you do have to thin it down a lot to get it thru an airbrush
