jasoncamaro
Looks good so far. What kit did you start with? What color do you have in mind for it? Thanks. Its the revell street burner 55 chevy pro sportsman, im thinking about candy red with white roof as per stock 55 chevs just have to cut the doors out and the front off the body and work out how to hinge the doors and how to get the front end to clip back on and come off easly. Its Pretty hard to get model kits in New Zealand so i buy themn online from modelexpress and our model shops dont have any aftermarket parts so i get them from the states aswell

Smart-Resins
If anything else, I would love to see the hinges on the carpenter car as I have one to work on in the near future. Thanks. Jody

(although its no longer Carpenters car they didnt change much at the chassis) You can have a look at www.joostenracing.nl For those in a hurry, i'll upload 2 pics that are a standard setup for door hinges on pro mod cars Nothing spectacular, straight forward. Joy Returned from Hockenheim late last night. Qualified 5th buth lost in first round due to bad right lane. But anyhow, had a change to take some pics and quickly made a Fotki album. Link is below. Is my first time so let me know if it doesnt work http://public.fotki.com/hansb57/55-chevy-pro-mod/ Hans Before I forget: The fire bottles in this setup are behind the driver. Charles had them left and right (I think 2, but i'm not shure) mounted next to the fuel tank Edited August 17, 2009 by hansb57

jasoncamaro
Will these help at all? Mine are made to snap on and off,but I think it would be better to make them simply lift off. One cool thing about mine ( wasn't planned, just happened ) is that when I close the doors with my finger and they get to a certain point, they almost close themselves and you can feel an actual "bump" like on a real car. They both do it and I still don't know how. Yea that helps heaps thanks for that by the way is that a ford galaxie?
