brewsterg6 Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 (edited) I'm going to try and attend again this year.... hope to have my Chev convertible done in time. Their swap meet was excellent...last year I cleaned up!! On a side note, their web site doesn't have pics of last years show up yet:( Edited August 21, 2009 by brewsterg6
Howard Cohen Posted August 22, 2009 Author Posted August 22, 2009 Here are a few photos that I took. I don't know what happened to our official photos, perhaps lost in space http://public.fotki.com/HowardCohen/mega-city-model-mot/ When you are done, I also have 2 earlier shows in albums, so scout around. http://public.fotki.com/HowardCohen/
Danger Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 And here is another link to pictures from last year. I'm planning on attending again this year. http://dangervideo.smugmug.com/Models/Mode...514782607_bkEQN

brewsterg6 Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 Always an excellent show. Not sure I can make it this year though, new restrictions on border crossings and I dont have a passport. Raisin C'mon up Raisin... we let anyone in up here!!
Howard Cohen Posted August 26, 2009 Author Posted August 26, 2009 Good thing to remember...if you are crossing the border, take your passport. Mine finally showed up last week after a small error was found in my original application. If you are crossing the border, make sure you bring a copy of the contest flyer with you to show where you are going. I always do when heading to the US and it makes the crossing easier. As of today, we have 24 vendors tables paid for...only 1 hobby store, the rest are private sellers.
raisin27 Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 C'mon up Raisin... we let anyone in up here!! Its not getting into Canada that im worried about, its getting back into the USA!
Danger Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 I was in my local hobby shop this past weekend. They didn't have any info on the show nor have they been contacted about a table. Not even a flyer. The shop is in the GTA and has sponsored past events, had a table (or two) last year and even judged last years show. I let them know about the show and the post on this site. Maybe also posting the contest on some other forum websites? I wish I knew about this show sooner. I now have less than a month to get ready.
Howard Cohen Posted September 1, 2009 Author Posted September 1, 2009 Can you please tell me the name of the hobby shop? (a rpivate email would be great) I have given out flyers to our club members and they were distributed to every hobby shop in the GTA, except one who won't take any. I have personally been to 7 shops in the GTA plus mailing to 50 plus outside the GTA. Thanks...
Howard Cohen Posted September 13, 2009 Author Posted September 13, 2009 Up date! We now have 37 sold vendor tables, a new high as we usually have about 30! If this is any indication, the contest will be great! Come early, get your contest entries registered early and be part of the show!
