HauntFreaks Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 This is the start of my traditional style '34 fordhot rod build.... this also will be another slot drag car...I'm hoping to include custom body mods , engine detail and slot chassis build as well in future updates... this style rod is the inspiration... I even like the color (no flames) this is the kit being used First step was cuting the body into three sections... Cab, Hood and Grill.... all that will be used is the cab and grill next was to create a firewall for the cab... a piece of styrene did the trick.... the body has also been wedged at this point... more to come...
RodneyBad Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 Looks like a cool project. Nothing like building a model and still being able to play with it.
Fuel Coupe Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 While the term "traditional" might be a bit off for this build its still gonna be cool... Nice start
HauntFreaks Posted August 15, 2009 Author Posted August 15, 2009 (edited) While the term "traditional" might be a bit off for this build its still gonna be cool...Nice start well I wasnt lookin to do the high dollar street rod... or a low budget rat rod, this time... I wanted something a bit more classic... the more I think about it I guess gasser style kinda? anyway I got the body work done and decided to paint it... I went with testors Inca Gold, Root Beer and wet look clear one coat lacquer (rattle can)... I was impress by how well it really did cover.... next will be the Ross Gibson Hemi Gasser engine kit and custom music wire chassis.... Edited August 15, 2009 by HauntFreaks
