Sixties Sam Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 (edited) Hey, guys, I found this Riv in a box away from all my other old models - forgot I had it. It was beat up and missing three of its wheels. I decided to give it a facelift. I built this model probably in 1966. Yeah, I'm OLD! I cleaned it up and gave it a coat of silver for a base for candy green. I'm adding a Continental kit which covers up the bullet taillights in the roll pan, so I moved them up near the trunk lid. I sprayed it with Testors candy green and gloss black. I masked off a panel on each side, then removed the tape after the 1st coat. The photos suck, but I'll have better ones when it's finished. It's kinda fun restoring an old model like this. I hope you'll like it when it's done. Sam UPDATE: It's done. It looks better than it did before, I think! Sam Edited August 22, 2009 by Sixties Sam
