Hey, y'all.

Has anyone used a viynal roof kit? How is it to install? I'm thinking of using one on my '68 Bullitt Charger build.

It a big piece of black masking tape, perhaps some kind of gaffers tape.

I just used some evergreen plastic for the mouldings and the stitching seam and just working it on kind of like you would a big piece of BMF.

Glue strips of Evergreen for the overlap strips and mouldings. Mask the body and spray the roof with spray adhesive from a distance. Let dry and shoot with semi gloss black. Someone posted this procedures several months ago.

Model Master makes a viynal roof paint that works better then anything else i've used. its a two part system and you do is spray it. don't have to worry about it "Lifted" up over time, you just need to remember to mask over everything that you don't want to look like a viynal top (Like window moldings)

I agree with Gasman. It originally came in black or white but they may have added more colors. With practice you can adjust the size of the pattern by changing the spraying distance from the object.

Here's a 1/18 GMP Fairlane I did a few years ago.
