Ok, here we go again, another build in progress, and I hope this one will live in infamy if I can get to pull it off. Hope it will live up to its name . . .

We'll see how it will go . . . and this is what I got so far . . . just cutting, mocking, and having fun so far . . .

I've made room for four Caddy brake lights . . .

I cut the top because I want the interior to be seen and you need to see why . . .

I already made spacers to get the rear tires to come out a bit more . . . these are a set of big & little wide whites I had in my spare parts box . . .

Geez, after all these years of building I keep coming back to the same kits . . . which is why I'm trying my best not to repeat myself . . . B);)

This one will be totally different than these two . . . I promise . . .

Thanks, folks, this project should be fun . . . I hope.

The tires came from Replicas & Miniatures of Maryland. Also, you can get them through Modelhaus. The difference is R&MofM are rubber.

All right, maties, I got all the parts cleaned and ready for primer. I never get tired of being amazed at how wonderful this Revell 41 Willys kit is. It's got to be one of my faves on my TOP 5 list!!!

Stay tuned in for pics . . .

I expanded the rear axle so that the rear tires would look right under the body . . .

And they do . . .

It looks like you're off to another GREAT start!!

How do you guys get so much time to build?? :)

I'm still plugging away at my '40 Ford and my '50 Chevy pickup.

Did you use an axle stretcher for that? :)

I airbrushed a bit of gray/white on the hood in order to apply some rubon lettering . . . with its name on there . . . these come from Woodland Scenics . . .

After this process, I will respray with rust, then add the salt, and then remove the rubon letters with tape, and the name should come through . . .

Yes they are. I'm also adding some touches with the airbrush. The engine is going to be slightly weathered, although not as much as the cab and chassis . . .

Stay tuned in for more progress . . .

Here's the first few coats of paint with the black and engine black from Floquil . . . it looks like speckled trout!

:D:D:D

Yeah, a lot of rust showing through, but we still have one more coat of paint . . .

On this one I want the chassis to look cruddy, but not so much the engine . . . and the wheels are going to be almost like new . . . dressy shoes, that's what I say . . .
