Custom Hearse Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 I got this from Evilbay, from Lyn here on the forum. It's finished, except for the mirrors, which have a big indentation in them. This was a 2 week build.
RodneyBad Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Mirrors are so Over Rated.. Nice looking Truck.. is the paint changing colors or is it 2-toned? It looks Soo stock tho. Nice work..
Guest Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Very nice job. Do tell more about the paint. Something you can do about the mirrors, self adhesive mylar. Firm enough to not conform to the indentations.

Nice work.. Had a problem with the clearcoat. I used DupliColor Bermuda Blue paint, and then I used Model Master Custom Lacquer ultra gloss clearcoat on it. I used up the first can on the body, and then opened a second can and painted the bed. For some unknown reason, it washed out the blue, and turned it silver. I don't have a clue.... I just wanted something to build stock, with no modifications. I wired the engine, but that's all I did to it. Thanks for the compliment! Very nice job. Do tell more about the paint. I thought about using really thin sheet plastic, and covering it with foil to fix the mirrors. I'll have to see about mylar though, that could be another fix I could try.
