  2. I can't wait to see another update.. bring on the red!
  3. Thank you thank you thank you for the link.. I didn't know there was issues with the models from this company, I am so happy that this one was not one that has those problems. I am curious about the wood, you really would use real wood? I guess I figured most would use some decales from another model for what you want.. I am looking forward to more posts on it.. Thank you again
  4. Welcome I don't build (yet) but they still let me hang out.. awesome people here!
  5. Happy Birthday :)

  7. Oh thank you for posting this. I was MIA for awhile with Christmas then a bad cold. When I came back to the changes the only thing I totally could not figure out was why I could not answer a PM that was sent to me while I was gone... Thank you

    Stock 72 Nova

Hello and welcome lovely ride you have there!
  10. mind is working here and you really have me wondering if it could be done with felt.. 50 model car knives on dad's desk still, 10 colors of felt here... course all I have is elmers glue LOL....... thinking I am going to have to try it
  11. who knows George it ended up in dad's Model Car World somewhere lol. I was probably 9 there from the when the picture could have been taken at my Grandparents house, I have blocked out a lot of my childhood but I can kind of remember building a model there. LOL evidently I did, we have proof hahaha
  12. was it you or Terry who told me what the purple pond was? I wouldn't have had a clue what you were talking about LOL
  13. Marshall was kind enough to make a set and send them back to me made, that is how I knew what to do with them. He also had an idea of maybe useing paint or glue on them then tossing em in a baggy with the flock then dotting them with paint when they were dry, I don't know if he's tried that or not. the set he sent back to me turned out awesome though. I would think if you could get the seams right you could use felt would take a very steady hand though
  14. that wasn't my first build. it was a 55 chevy I believe I was 7 or so, of course my dad helped me put it together, he also painted it, but the funny part of that is I got to chose the color and when I did *chuckles* he must have asked me 5 times if I was SURE that was the color I wanted.. The color was like a dark grass green hahaha.. it so irked him to paint it that color but he did not sure what happened to that model, pretty sure there is a picture of it somewhere though.... good memories good memories
  15. Awesome to see you too Jim! I am still shocked that I saw some models that I hadn't seen before in there LOL. Hey make sure you send me a link if you use the dice I haven't seen any in a car yet
  16. Hahaha I didn't find the van one but I did find proof that I have built a model.
  17. we had all sorts of cars when I was growing up, it seemed just normal then to have 2 novas or 2 corvairs out back or in the garage at any given time. now that I look back I know why he usually had two, parts cars. I also now know why all the kids wanted to ride with us hahaha. I think my fav was the van though I might have a picture of it on here.
  18. I know I sold a Jo-han one on ebay, reason I remember that one is that was my first car, a station wagon, my dad was going to strip and paint black with tinted windows for me, engine died and at that point i was MORE then happy with the NEW Plymouth Sundance I was driving, totally wish I knew then what I know now, what a cool ride that would have been! I went off of subject sorry lol. not sure if there is another one or not. It probably will be another week or more before I go back to storage I took 90ish models home with me.
  19. oh how lovely is that! is that the AMT 6117 kit? When I started to feel the itch to build one I first picked out the '66 malibu SS after I ran across the 1970 super bee the malibu was totally put out of my mind. ONE day I will build it, in my mind I see mine yellow though. Of course that is a long way off. Thank you for posting that is a beautiful model!
  20. you are welcome, eventually I am sure I will find something you need.
