I saw a kit on eBay a while back. Shoulda grabbed it then. I did an exhaustive web search and I cannot find that kit anywhere!!

It was the front bumper/grill to backdate the Twister vega. I see the whole bodies out there [modelroundup] but I have the Twister coming.

It was light green resin if I recall correctly. There were other parts with it as well. Real complete looking.

Decals are not a problem but this backdating thing has got me in a pickle.

ANYONE?????

TIA

Bob, ya might wanna drop a line by Jody, over at Smart Resins. I THINK he was offering the conversion kit your talkin about. He does have a Vega Body, like the one your talkin about, and I THINK by now he MIGHT have a Pantiac Astre.

Hi Bob , it was me that was selling the conversions on e-bay. I had a freind of mine casting the for me but now he can't it anymore do to health problems . I will be setting up the molds in a couple of weeks. The problem is I sold all of my kits and a freind has one of my kits that I will be using to set up the molds as soon as I get them from him

The Model Roundup has the Grumpy's Toy Vega body in resin that uses the kit you have for a donor. (click the name to go to the resin section of their site)

1972 Vega 'Grumpy's Toy' 1/25 resin body donor kit = AMT 38482 1978 Vega Sportsback Pro Stock RK-142

$24.90

The Vega Sportsback Pro Stock is the same kit as the Twister Vega.

Hope this helps,

Hello. I dont have the vega body in resin, no. I do have the astre front and rear sections, but never molded yet. I will be workin on a baldwin motion "super Vega" hood here soon. As for the back dating, if you are set on back dating the body, I believe I have a half written tutorial here somewheres, mostly pics of a 1/16 scale vega someone did that to. I could dig them up once I get a new fan for that PC and give them to you. I think most of it was fairly simple? Cant remember for sure.Sure does sound like a great project!! Jody
