chris coller Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 Where to start? Well I finished this up late Saturday night for a contest Sunday. Thank god I got my RB MOTION parts Saturday(thanks Rob). I used Protech braided line, Detail Master fittings, Scale Motorsports dzus fasteners and other photo etch fasteners,Model Car Garage rotors, Replicas of Maryland brake calipers, scratch built shocks, trackbar, swaybar, front chassis bars, and cut the top of the rollcage of and rebuilt that. There is plenty more work done but I won't bore you with the dialect. Here are the pics. Enjoy!
Rider Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 Bravo, great looking engine and chassi detail, well done.
ricky12 Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 WOW thats a good looking piece you can realy be proud of that one
cruz Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 Pictures don't do this build any justice man, this was very cool to see in person, congratulations on a fine job!!!
Randy Kern Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 I don't have much interest in Nascar builds, but you just have to appreciate the quality, in every aspect, of this build. I think Chris rates right up there with the best Nascar builders, and if he had a professional taking the photos (sorry, Chris ) you would definitely see it. Cruz is right, it's more impressive in person. Uh....did you build this one on the floor, also?
chris coller Posted September 15, 2009 Author Posted September 15, 2009 Thanks guys. My floor is my work bench. I will have a bad back to go with my bad knees later in life. If you're gonna do it, do it right. Up next is to finish my SCCA Camaro.
RodneyBad Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 Awesome looking T-bird. Incredible amount of detail. And I'm sure it is as Accurate as a 1:1 The engine could stand by itself. Excellent work..
voljeepx Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 Great model of an incredible time in NASCAR! Jimmy was a bad@ss in his day! I still laugh every time I think about him giving Kurt Busch a nose job! Anyway, good job and excellent attention to detail.
