B-dub Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 wait whaa? They get better milage than my 5 speed 4 cylinder jetta.... I'm getting me a caddy and rollin in style....
Aaronw Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 (edited) Harry there are plenty of mid 90's cars that get better mileage than their current versions. With the cheap gas in early 2000s many car manufacturers increased engine size and power at a cost of fuel economy. I have a 1996 Toyota Tacoma with a 2.4 liter 4 cyl, with 140 hp, that gets 26-27 mpg. After 2000 they went to a 2.7 liter 4 cyl with 150 hp, that only got 21 mpg. The 2010 Tacoma is the first one in years to get the same mileage as my 1996. Edited September 19, 2009 by Aaronw

Custom Hearse Posted September 19, 2009 Author Posted September 19, 2009 And the winner with the last word is Grandpa-xrds...
Modelmartin Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 Oh Yea! My cousin's uncle's next door neighbor's hairdresser has a big ole Caddy that gets like 75 miles per gallon!!!
FujimiLover Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 (edited) A 2001-06 Honda Insight is different than the 2010 version. It's smaller, lighter weight, and more aerodynamic. The 2010 Insight is what I like to call a Toyota Prius copy-cat. I've never driven a 2010 model so I wouldn't know what it's MPG is like. But I too can send you pic's of my MPG readout if you'd like.
