caine440 Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 (edited) Hello All This one did not turn out as I had hoped. The decals were a pain and this is the third set as the first two just fell apart. This set wrinkled on me a bit but it will have to do for now. This is first resin body I have ever built and I did run into fitting issues I have yet to fix in the engine compartment as the chassis did not fit up very well but I do not have a lot of parts to chose from. jjsipes Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 Gotta love the Ramchargers cars. Red, White and Mopar. Looks good though for having issues with decals. Don't that just makes you mad, the money you spend on decals and then have them go to pieces. Where did you get the intake from? Resin body, from who? The red on the real cars were Candy Red, have you ever seen correct color decals for any Ramchargers cars? I have yet to, just wondering if you had.
caine440 Posted September 22, 2009 Author Posted September 22, 2009 The first set of decals were old Cady decals that even with a top coat fell apart so I bought a sheet off ebay and they turned out to be a poor photo copy that was blurry and smeared. I sent them back to the seller but never heard from them again. This set was also off ebay but from a well know seller and were not that bad. I just did not see the wrinkles in time to fix them. They are from the challenger funny car. I used a red marker to cover the name on the stripe which was a mistake as the red ink ran all down the side of the body when I cleared it. I have never seen Ramchargers stripes that were a candy apple red offered in decal form but that does not mean much as I have not been doing this long. I needed a Hemi for another project and wanted a rat roaster intake for this one so I killed two birds with one stone and got a Ross Gibson SS/DA Super Stock Hemi. The body came from reliable resin. The chassis is the best one I had in the old parts box. I am going to fix the engine compartment and do more detailing this week. Thanks!

MyBradKeselowski Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 Great looking Cuda... I like it without a monstrous scoop on the hood...
Fuel Coupe Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 great looking car, I had started a ramchargers demon and used a set of decals from eBay. they were fidily at best. I wound up scrapping the idea and started over and did the Mcewen duster. It wasnt anything you did just sketchy decals ...
