Patrick2005 Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 I usually buy my models from eBay since there are no hobby shops within about a 100 miles of my house. I was wondering if anyone knows of a good online shop they can point me to? I'm still looking for a few certain models and they are way to much on eBay.
george 53 Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 Pat, get ahold of Jack, overt Model Round-Up, he's a GREAT dealer, has ALL the latest stuff, an he's just a neet guy to deal with! Tell him I sentcha. On second thought, forget that last comment, he MIGHT charge ya more!!!
Janne Herajärvi Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 Here is one http://www.hiroboy.com/catalog/ Its one of the greatest online stores in Europe. There is not much US made cars in sale, but tons of everything else, like aftermarket stuff, paints etc.
Patrick2005 Posted September 23, 2009 Author Posted September 23, 2009 would Pat possibly combine shipping if I ordered multiple models? I'm looking for 4 in particular and I see has has at least 3 of them.
Aaronw Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 (edited) I don't have a nearby hobby shop either, so I buy a lot of stuff online. I've used Model Car Round Up several times. I agree with George, good people to deal with. Decent prices and good service. They were very quick to fix the one mix up I ever had with them (wrong kit included in my order). The only negative thing I could say about them is their ordering method is a bit antiquated. http://www.modelroundup.com/ The other place I use a lot is Tower Hobbies, good selection of supplies as well as kits. They frequently have discounts ($10 off a $50 order, $25 off a $199 order, free shipping on orders over $xyz etc). They also have flat rate shipping, so it can save you some money if you make fewer large purchases instead of frequent small purchaces. http://www.towerhobbies.com/index.html would Pat possibly combine shipping if I ordered multiple models? Here is the direct link to shipping http://www.modelroundup.com/shipping.html Edited September 23, 2009 by Aaronw
ismaelg Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 That depends on what you are looking for. For domestic models, I've had excellent experience with Model Express http://www.modelexpress.net/ Japanese kits: HLJ Japan http://www.hlj.com/ Aftermarket as well as some kits: Strada Sports. EXCELLENT service http://www.stradasports.com/ Resin kits: Island Collectibles http://www.islandcollectibles.net/ For aftermarket and supplies, there are quite a lot of great suppliers. Too many to list. Hope this helps. Thanks,
