Guest arni Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 I decided part way through the build of this very crude kit to alter it into a car that had been involved in a hard front ender,so the left wing, hood and front valance were replicated in very thin gauge alloy sheet-about 0.2mm.These were then fitted in place of the originals and given a quick respray, once fitted I slid the shell into a mitre box to create the damage. The final creases were made using various modeling tools.
Randy Kern Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 Ouch, that poor Triumph! Nigel, that's pretty cool, and 1/32 scale yet. It looks like a barn find with a slight bump . It's good to see these old Airfix models built. I've got several Bugeyes done, plus an Aston Martin DB5 and Mini to do.
Foxer Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 Ouch is right! I had a front end kiss on the TR4A I had, but not nearly as bad. It looks like you hit a Nissan Cube .. Nice job on that tiny thing ,, I have yet to do the one I have on the bench.
Roadkill2525 Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 Looks like somebody missed a turn at Brands Hatch. Excellent work.
Guest arni Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 Cheers guys. The Airfix cars can be hit or miss..The TR to be honest isn't the best, the shell looks good but the underside and engine OMG
