Custom Hearse Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 This is a cool story... http://www.kenoshanews.com/news/racing_in_peace_6494145.html
bigdaddyfan Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 Very touching story. I grew up near by Broadway Bob's Great Lakes Dragaway. Met Don Garlits, Tommy Ivo, Jeb Allen, Ronnie Sox. All the big guys back in the day raced there. No doubt I saw Mr. Miller race there. We were always there up through the 80's. I had a lot of buddies who raced their hotrods. That racetrack always treated the locals and the low budget racers like kings there. RIP Mr Miller
george 53 Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 WoW that was cool! I wonder if Theresa'll cremate me with a coupla my models???
Custom Hearse Posted October 7, 2009 Author Posted October 7, 2009 It's great the way the other racers let the procession go ahead of them. That is real unity!
charlie8575 Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 Given weight, chassis dynamics, etc., 45 seconds @ 27 M.P.H. is actually very respectable. A very nice story to see. Charlie Larkin
Modellpularn Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 Very cool and heartwarming story! Very nice tribute to an old racer!
