Greg Cullinan Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 This is model #11 for me.My first atempt at foiling, what a difference it makes imo.The exterior is Duplicolor medium Grey Metal and interior is Rustoleum multi-color texture.I put aftermarket wheels on,hope you enjoy.
Harry P. Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 Foiling is probably the one single thing that takes a model from "toy" to "scale replica." I'm sure you're glad you learned how to do it.
Peter Lombardo Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 (edited) Very nice....you sure got that late 1960's rear lift thing going on. Back in those days, all the hot cars carried their rears up in the air. I like the charcoal body color, subtle and unassuming until the right foot come down. Nice car. elan Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 I not trying to hi-jack your thread, but why was that they jacked up the rear end? To make the tires fit? Nice job anyway.
george 53 Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 Jody, lotta times ya HAD ta take 'em up that hi jus ta clear the tires(Thank you know who, for Hi-Jackers!) But alotta guys jus jacked 'em up jus ta look cool. I ran Mickey Thompson Pos-a-traction G- 60 15's on my 69 Nova, so without tubbing it I din't have a choice! Greg's car came out REAL nice, whether it needs ta be jacked up or not!!!

Sometimes to make the big tires fit without cutting the car in any way. Otherwise, it was just a fad. In fact, before it was popular to jack up the rear of the car, just the opposite was considered "cool"... the front of the car was raised and the back end was dropped (many times by putting a few sandbags in the trunk). None of this had any actual reason... it was just considered "cool."
