This is my current project. Unchopped Tall-T body, scratchbuilt chassis (it has already undergone a few mods since the pics), with "recycled" motor and wheel/tire combo from another old built kit I had (that is undergoing restoration)...The idea is to get this baby as low to the ground as I can...

The engine work looks really nice!!

It's interesting to see the tall T body channeled over the frame...most of the ones you see are chopped...

Thanks for sharing,

Okay guys, made some progress Friday night. Finished scratchbuilding the rear suspension, torque tube, located the engine, and I'm halfway through the front suspension. Pics show 95% real stance of the car when finished...I'm liking it. Had to flip the front spring to make it reaaaally low.

I still don't know what color to paint it. Suggestions?

Finally got to do some stuff on this build, basically the floorpan. I tried unsuccessfully to build a rounded transmission tunnel, so after a few tries I did this...In a way, it fits the project better. It still needs to be puttied and sanded, and I might add a few thin strips to be bottom to simulate a corrugated pan.

Also, I'm considering using that flat area on top of the tunnel as the instument panel...Put a few gauges on there...

It's tight in there!

Looks good, bro. . .

Only 2 coments, I think you better put an electric fan rather than the stock piece. . .and the front suspension, maybe better if you used a suicide setup, step the chasi up and mount the spring in front of the radiator.

The reverse suspension idea I got from a wild rat rod I saw in Ol' Skool Rodz...Why are you suggesting the electric fan..?

This is coming together very nicely.

For a rounded tranny tunnel, I've used the thin-wall (schedule 40) 3/4" or 1" diameter sprinkler pipe. It works really well and either of the two sizes is usually big enough for 1:25th scale. You can usually pick up a short section at your local HW store.

Thanks for the tip, Raul! B)

Brief update: Did some work at lunch time here at work and made the rear "firewall" and deck...It looks crooked on the body pic, but it's just because it was a quick mock-up.

Modeling at the office? Yep. Baby wipe boxes are one of the most useful things around:

I even store my models in them, padded with paper towels!

Okay, did some more work today...Might do some more later but I gotta do some stuff around the house. I have the front suspension almost finished...After thinking how I was going to attach the front wheels, I went ahead and made the front wheels poseable! The steering link is not to scale in the pics; it's a temporary thing to keep them parallel. I drilled the sides of the chassis and hung the front rods from there. Finally, for the interior, I shortened a Lindberg 1934 Ford pickup bench seat.

I might do the inner door panels in a few hours...

Well, then it wouldn't be a "tall T," now, would it? :(
