Wildrice Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 This was a quick build for a great friends B-Day. Box stock. Took the unpainted body from one kit and used the other parts from the predecorated kit. Body is Tamiya TS59. Dechromed wheels and painted gunmetal. My friend was shocked when I gave it to him last Sunday. Fun lil build. Rest of pics are here: http://public.fotki.com/NCWVSM/bobby-boggs...phantom-vickie/
RatRod Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 Nice clean build!!! You have to remember that the tie rod on this kit needs to be shortened to make it track right, and you also need to sand those tire treads down. I like the way you did the wheels!!! I did one as a "study in black" awhile back.

Perhaps your input was well-meaning, but added with bold text and a photo of your model it comes across as "mine is better than yours"...
Zoom Zoom Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 John's one of the "good guys" here and I have no doubt he meant no offense by his comments. BTW, I think both models look KILLER! Thanks...and ditto The AMT Phantom Vickie has a modern "cool factor" missing from Revell's more traditional '32's. I like 'em all, but I love the modern take that AMT's kit has, and would love to see AMT take the kit further, since Revell seems to be taking a more traditional approach to their '32's.
