Scott H. Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 I went to the Model Show today that the club I belong to puts on every year with the intentions of only looking around and supporting the club. Weeeeeeeeeeellllllllllllllll, that didn't exactly happen the way I planned. I glanced over at one of the vendor's tables and saw a model I have been wanting for a while now. Yep, that's the IMC 1948 Ford Convertible for $20.00! It has been started, with a couple of parts painted but that doesn't bother me a bit as I'm going to build it anyway. I also couldn't let this poor thing sit on the bargan table any longer... A 1968 El Camino for $5.00 that was a built up, but definitely workable. After a quick work over and a bath in the stripper, it'll be ready for the rebuild. -Scott H.
FactoryStock54 Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 My hat's off to anybody who can make a proper build of that old IMC '48 Ford--it's definitely not for the faint of heart.
Lyn Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 Good buys! Looks like you had a good time. Or at least did after you bought them LOL
RodBurNeR Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 nice score! I have that '48 Ford also, unbuilt. I really want to build it, but must get other things done first.
