Hi guys, I tried to sign up a couple of years ago but was never able to get signed in. I always got a message that "another member has that e-mail" or something like that. I got another E-mail address and hear I am.

I recognize some of your names from that other forum, but I haven't been active over there for years.

I build 1/25 cars, mostly replica stock. I like almost anything from before 1972 or so. Not into Nascar, drag racings my thing. Really like Camaros, Mopars and air cooled VW's. And I still own the Meyers Manx (yes, a real one) I drove to high school.

I live in central Indiana. Anyone going to the Circle City show this Saturday?

Cool! I like the Meyers buggies! Must've been kinda cold driving that in the winter though... :P

I think you'll like it here!

This was a few weeks ago at Larry's off road centers fall show. It has a top and curtains But I'm afraid of someone sliding on the ice and hitting it so most winter driving is out.

Welcome aboard, Craig; it's cool to find another builder with similar interests(I'm also into ACVW's and Mopars, and I have a real Manx as well). I'm looking forward to seeing your work....and of course, more pics of the Manx. :D

Do you frequent any of the 1:1 VW boards?

Dave, is your Manx still gell coat too? I'm on thesamba and dunebuggyarchives as manxcraig.

It is indeed in the original gelcoat, Craig; it still shines up nicely when asked:

I'm 'plasticman1432' on TheSamba, and I long ago forgot my ID on the DBA site.

If you haven't built a model of your buggy yet, the Keystones are in the Revell '68 Charger, and you can send the rest of the kit to me.

Boy, what a welcome! Thanks guys!

I haven't finished a model in years, but I sure do start a lot of them, I hope to change that now that summers over. I have "advanced modelers syndrome", I can't build a kit as intended, it must be reworked into something else. That could be why its been so long sense I've finished one!

Gary, I do have a couple of Manx kits waiting, but they need to have some inaccuracy problems fixed (see what I mean?), and I bought some MRC Keystone wheel sets way back when. So I guess I'll have to build that Charger myself. (nice try thoe)

As I said, I've been lurking for quite some time now and I see that this forum is a bit more "adult" than the one ran by the that other model magazine.
