Reuhkapelti Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 (edited) Hi there! Here's a slightly different pickup, started as a '53 Ford. I've chopped the top, sectioned the body and the frame got some z-ting. The bed is also shortened and the rear fenders are wider than original. It's got a air-ride suspension both front and rear. The big V8 has got twin turbo with required tubing. In the back there's a compressor for the air-ride with a pressure container. Thanks for viewing my model from Finland. Jairus Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 Yes, very nice indeed! Is that a Buick Rivera grill I see there? Well done Finland and welcome to MCM forum.
Reuhkapelti Posted November 2, 2009 Author Posted November 2, 2009 Yes, very nice indeed! Is that a Buick Rivera grill I see there? Well done Finland and welcome to MCM forum. Thanks! The grill is a combination of a custom grill taken from a '64 Chevelle. I just planted the headlights on it. SS-R Chevy gave that upper part of the grill, plus a wheel spinner in the center, covering the GM logo.
Harold Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 (edited) Very sweet build. Edited November 2, 2009 by Harold
Space Cowboy Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 Great job on a well detailed build. Great job on your body work..
Greg Cullinan Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 Very awesome. Are the superchargers available for sale? While I'm bugging you, where did the wheels come from? Again great build and thanks in advance.
Reuhkapelti Posted November 2, 2009 Author Posted November 2, 2009 Thanks again! The turbos are selfmade. Ofcourse the are aftermarket chargers available, but I didn't find any big enough. The wheels are modified by taking the center off and turned the rims inside out, so I could get this wide style offset.
Foxer Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 This is one great looking truck! Very nice body work and that is some major ... and good looking ... plumbing in the engine bay!

Raul_Perez Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 Very nice looking custom!! All of the detail work looks GREAT!! Can you add a shot straight on from the front? I'd like a better look at the grille work. Thanks,
diymirage Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 that looks very good i love the paint scheme on it too i guess great minds think alike
Janne Herajärvi Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 I like this! Reuhkapelti does always great job with his models and always suprices with unusual ideas and unique conversions.
RodBurNeR Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 I think it's a very interesting combination of parts and style, not fond of the wheels personally though. I was hoping you might post more pics of the grille area? From the photo angles you posted, it's really hard to see how it looks and how you shaped that part.
