Been searchin' several years for the last of my "MOST WANTED".

This last year was especially productive as I found the bulk of them in just the last few month's.

Most of the kits I wanted and found were Porsches, Ferrari's and mercedes with a few others thrown in.

The last half dozen or so came from a friend in our club, who has between 3 & 4 thousand kits, some are rare specialty kits.

Anyhow, here are the KITS I BAGGED <img src="http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" /> .

<img src="http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh49/treehuggerdave/2009_1108Photobucket10012.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" />

Also, Saturday I was at a local model contest/swap meet, and I found these two " '66 Renwal kits" that were built, pretty well, but old and falling apart - SOUNDS LIKE SOME OF US <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> .

One is the rare Stutz Bearcat, and the other the Mercer.

Both were in a bag together, and laying on a table, with a lot of other bagged sets.

I asked how much and the guy said $5.00 - for both - and they're complete, except for the motors.

So I "SNAGGED UM" <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> .

Is that Carrera an "Enthusiast" kit? I love those. I built the Countach and a Dino years ago. In my Dads collection still.

It looks like it due to those stripes in the box. Those Renwal kits are really rare. I know they are in good hands now.

I got MY Holy Grail last year on eBay.

Aurora VooDoo Vega 1/16 AA/FC still sealed. NEVER MIND what I paid.......................... :D

Those are great finds though.

;)

Thanks George :D .

The plan is to some time in the future, to restore these back to what they would have been like out of the box.

Never seen any of these RENWAL kits ever built for a show, so after their done, I'll take them to the shows for "SHOW AND TELL" :P .

I think that'ed be fun.

Nice score on those Dave! ;)

I built both of those Fujimi kits as well years ago, the Porsche particularly has its pitfalls-------if you ever want to build it let me know as I can clue you in as to what to look out for. I've since got new kits (my cat wrecked the Porsche :D)----I also have the "Hardtop" and the Carrera Coupe version as well.

I don't think I've ever seen those Renwal kits built anywhere at all...........they'd make interesting conversation pieces for sure.

Yeah, both are the enthusiast kits - that's what I wanted.

Voodoo Vega is a rare and spendy kit, but when you want it, money doesn't stand in the way.

Just ask Harry, he buy's Poscher Kit's.

Never spent that much on a single kit, like the Poschers, but I have spent a few grand on a scratch-build.

Hey Bill

Thanks for the offer ;) .

This is the coupe'/roadster version that I chopped the windshield, filled in the bumper holes front and rear, and lowered the taillights, and lowered tha car.

It was a way-fun-project, so I know this will be fun too, just cost more $$$. The kit build shown here was only $5.00 at a junk shop, and it was complete - I LOVE A GOOD DEAL :D .

Beuatiful chop there dave. And getting one for 5.00 is wonderful.....

Pocher kits? Gosh, I almost bought one some years ago while they were still in production. It was a cabover truck I think. 200 odd dollars if I recall. This is at the time when kits were still 7.00.

Of course you are right when price cannot stand in the way of obtaining something. I'd seen these kits [Aurora 1/16 AA/FC's] in various states on eBay for 3 years before I had the right money at the right time to get one.

I'd seen them go rather cheaply [say 200.00], to one guy asking 750.00 for an opened one! And he wouldn't commit to it being complete!

I'll just say that I got it for more than 200.00 but a LOT less than 750.00. I've been gathering materials like braided lines and fittings for the last year getting ready for an epic Jungle Jim build.

Pocher kits are out of my league... Harry clearly has a passion for those.

Congrats on finding those hard to find buggers you were lookin for Dave,,,

I at last after chasin one for the better part of 5 years landed the last kit to complete my collection of 1964 AMT annual issue 3 in 1 kits,,,the 1964 Olds F-85 Hardtop. I thought I would never be able to pick one up and there was no way I was going near it with the glue bottle,,,,so,,,I cast it outa resin, now I can build it, well really I have 2 started,,,Thats the cool part of doing resin work, it makes me able to enjoy building kits I would never in the original kit.
