Monty Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 Impressive! I really like what you did with that oily engine. May I ask what you used to do that?
kyledr330 Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 Great choice of a model! I'm a big fan of the Superbee's. Looks really nice with a vinyl top.
MyBradKeselowski Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 Super looking build!!! I like it. I like the color The wheels are super, they look period correct for that car IMO..
Janne Herajärvi Posted November 14, 2009 Author Posted November 14, 2009 Thank you guys for those nice words Color is Revel or Humbrol metallic grey, i dont really remember better. Monty: I first painted it orange, then i drybrushed it with steel and rust colors just little chips here and there and after that i blackwashed whole engine with thinned matt black so that paint flows nicely in corners and holes etc... Hope that helps
Daniel Lynch Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 Very nice! He have parts of reality in that Superbee, maybe for that reason you like it, me too, you have my vote, if i see you at a show! Daniel
JayC Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 That's a nice, clean build! The color choice makes the car look kind of sinister. Very cool. The engine looks really sharp, too.
Raul_Perez Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 Very nice Super Bee, Hertsi!! The light weathering adds to the realism of the model. Thanks for sharing,
Janne Herajärvi Posted November 15, 2009 Author Posted November 15, 2009 Thank you guys for those nice words! I really should try that weathering for more detailed engines with wires and hoses etc stuff It really makes engine look as its used.
ale8oneboy Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 Love the oily engine stuff. Makes it looks like it could use a valve cover gasket! Great build all around.
Janne Herajärvi Posted November 16, 2009 Author Posted November 16, 2009 Couple more pics. Perhaps camera was too close Well now you can see some nice and some ugly details in there Cheers...
beefheart22 Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 Looking good with the weathering details.
Harold Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 It looks like a veteran street fighter- I wouldn't provoke it at a stoplight...
Janne Herajärvi Posted November 17, 2009 Author Posted November 17, 2009 Thank you guys! It looks like a veteran street fighter- I wouldn't provoke it at a stoplight... Not me either
